Job Description

A leading Interior Fitout / Joinery refurbishment business are looking to recruit a enthusiastic, personable Health & Safety Manager to continue to drive an outstanding Health & Safety Culture across the business

About the Client:

Working with a range of private and public clients, on a range of diverse refurbishment and restoration projects, you will be working on projects in and around the London area. With projects in ranging from £1m - £10m and for a company going though sustained growth, you will be in a key position to ensure ongoing safety and to drive the best culture across the business.

About the Role:

  • As the Health & Safety Manager for the business, you will be responsible for ensuring all projects are completed in a safe manner
  • 50/50 split between office and site (office based in Leicester)
  • Getting involved with all aspects of projects undertaken from Pre-construction through to client handover
  • Writing and reviewing site-specific risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
  • Work with our specially chosen sub-contractors to ensure all works undertaken continue to be to high standards of Health & Safety
  • Undertake regular audits and inspections on sites around London
  • Provide Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality advice to all levels within the business. Building on this, you will deliver a range of SHEQ toolbox talks across the business

About the Candidate:

  • Hold a NEBOSH/IOSH Qualification
  • 5+ years experience
  • Must have a construction background
  • Have a must do attitude and want to get their hands dirty
  • Be able to work from the head office in Leicester and travel down to London a couple of times a week (expenses paid)
  • Want a long term position with good career prospects
