Long established company that are a major supplier of parts and equipment to the communications industry. This is both in sales and hire supply.
This is an exciting opportunity working on new product range taking the industry by storm. This product has already become well established overseas and is now rapidly becoming a widely used in the UK. Most of the sales are incoming from a well established client base, many referrals coming from other divisions within the company. The product training will be in-depth giving you a sound knowledge of how the equipment works and learning why it is becoming a new big seller. As you will be working in both equipment sales and equipment hire you will have the opportunity to switch between the two depending on what the client needs. Some technical know-how will be essential with good hands on skills. Your client base will typically be with the contractors that supply companies like BT, Virgin and the general telecommunications industry. Typical day to day activities will include:
Taking new incoming enquiries
Trouble shooting for clients using equipment in the field
Entering client details on an excel spreadsheet
Inputting orders into the Sage system
Managing the incoming and outgoing of equipment
Converting enquiries to orders
Liaising with other departments within the company
Passing on referrals for other equipment to other departments
Making sales calls
What you will need to apply
Ideal applicants will come from the equipment hire industry and have dealt with supplying industries such as telecommunications, building services, construction etc. You will also need to be driven and have worked within a sales and / or customer services role in the past.
What you will receive in return
You will receive a basic salary of around £25K with a generous commission system bringing and OTE of around £45K.
