HMP Wormwood Scrubs is a Category B men's prison, located in the Wormwood Scrubs area of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, where we deliver, as the prime provider, all healthcare services within the prison, from Primary Care (GP) and Dental to Mental Health services to Physiotherapy. We are a busy prison, with a fast turnover, that gives us unique, but exciting challenges in a fast paced and forever changing landscape.

About the Job:
As the Head of Healthcare you will be responsible for the pro-active general management of the Establishment, maintaining the strategic direction and delivering the agreed contractual requirements and targets and managing the unit within its financial framework. Maintaining agreed standards of service, and leading, motivating and developing staff. This role also includes responsibility for all aspects of personnel, financial reporting, IM&T and general management of the healthcare establishment and being the CQC Registered Manager.
Further Job Information:
This is a permanent, full time role working 37.5 hours a week with a salary of up to £60,000 per annum (DOE). Please note that offers of employment are subject to Care UK Terms & Conditions and receipt of satisfactory references, enhanced DBS check and prison vetting.You will be able to provide evidence of your leadership ability and have undertaken management training. RGN or RMN qualifications are desirable, as is custodial or juvenile care setting experience.
