Learning Support Worker
Why do you work in a school? They say never to work with kids or animals, but lots of people still find themselves doing it.
Was it the holidays? The witty repartée in the staff room? Do you just love tidying up classrooms? Or are you one of those people who works in schools because you really want to make a difference in kids' lives?
Kids that have been through trauma that most of us would rather not think about. Kids who have such huge barriers to learning to overcome that just being in class for the day is a massive achievement.
The school that I'm working with caters for these students, and is having to turn away referrals because although they have space in the school, they don't have the levels of learning support needed to be able to work with more students in the way that they want to.
The school has 3 small, rural sites, so you'd need to be able to drive and have your own transport. You'd be part of a team that uses the school's rural location to offer subjects and lessons that are out of the ordinary, and part of a curriculum that is personalised for every single student.
We're holding a recruitment event with the school's leadership team in Bridgwater in early April, and if you're interested, send in your CV using the links on this website.
