We are looking for a bright and commercially-minded paralegal to provide support to the Banking team in Leeds. The team advises banks and borrowers on a wide variety of transactions, including corporate and acquisition finance and real estate finance. We act for clients on a range of both domestic and multi-jurisdictional transactions. Clients include major listed public companies, banks, funds, equity providers, developers, investors and private companies.

This is a 12 month FTC.

Key responsibilities:

You will provide support to the fee earners in the team, which may include you drafting documents and managing conditions precedents on transactions. You will be heavily involved in the completing of transactions and will be responsible for dealing with all post-completion matters. You will liaise with clients and lawyers and will also have the opportunity to work on internal projects with our practice support lawyer.

Skills and experience:

A law degree and/or LPC (or equivalent qualifications) would be an advantage, however, we will consider applicants without these qualifications who feel able to fulfil the responsibilities and experience we require.

Key competencies:

To be successful you will have a positive outlook, be confident and adaptable and be used to working as part of a team. You will also have very good IT, communication and organisational skills.
