A mainstream primary school in the Burnley area are seeking to appoint a permanent Teaching assistant level 2 (TA2) to support full time in KS2
Your new role
You will be working as a teaching assistant across KS2 providing class support and interventions to students to increase attainment. There will also be the opportunity to provide PPA cover on ad-hoc occasions at a TA3 rate of pay for this whole class cover. This role will begin on a temporary basis of a weeks trial, then should you be suitable to the role you will be offered the role permanently.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be level 2 qualified as a minimum, and have experience of supporting across KS2 in a mainstream or SEN setting either as a teaching assistant or another role. Candidates with SEN experience is advantageous but not essential. All applicants are subject to compliance and vetting procedures. References from experience of working with children must be obtainable. DBS certificates if needed can be applied for.
What you'll get in return
You will receive £60 per day on the interim whilst on a trial week, following this the salary would be TA2A and meet the equivalent comparator pay within school for other TA2As with a contract lasting until July 2020, with a review of extension following performance reviews.
