Job description:

To drive an effective and efficient Marketing Information System (MIS) for the group. The MIS is a system in which marketing data is gathered, organized, analysed and distributed to marketing managers to enable decision making and strategy development for marketing activities.

?Key Responsibilities:

1.Develop and manage processes and systems to enable the gathering, organizing, analyses and distribution of marketing data and information

2.Analyse marketing performance in a holistic way through combining multiple data sources (e.g. market share, volume, macro-economic, financial and brand health) to understand marketing effectiveness to enable strategy development for future marketing activities

3.Track performance against strategy and targets and provide timely analyses on these to the Global Sales and Operational Planning Meeting

4.Continuously develop and enhance the marketing analytics tools, enablers and capabilities for the group; incorporate leading edge developments in information technology on data management, visualization and analytics

5.Deliver marketing reports for both internal and external (e.g. Annual Reports, Analyst Briefings) stakeholders

6.?Manage external Marketing Research and Information suppliers


1.Degree educated with professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA)

2.Significant experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment

3.Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant information systems, i.e. SAP/Nielsen Answers/BI

4.Experience in generating insights, understanding the platforms and analysing reports, identify issues and challenges within reports functionalities and data

5.Knowledge of Marketing processes

6.Strong influencing and interpersonal skills

7.Experience in strategic analysis & planning, project management, marketing effectiveness measurement, retail audit

8.Ability to simplify complex problems and synthesise, communicate and present complex information
