***Academic Mentor required for high-achieving Secondary in Merton!

***Academic Mentor required for September – beginning of new academic year!

***Friendly and bright core-subject graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree

***Academic Mentor required to support Key Stage 3 and 4 humanities!

***Long-term, full-time role – no day-to-day or supply!

***Experience working with students advantageous!

***£60-£70 for Academic Mentor

The sought Academic Mentor will be a bright graduate with a specialist degree in a core subject (Maths, English, Science and Humanities). Ideally, you will have experience supporting pupils academically or experience in tutoring or summer camps.

The Academic Mentor role will involve you providing support to students in their core subjects (depending on your degree subject) and will ensure they are on track during their lessons. When instructed by the teacher, you will take pupils out for 1:1 and group sessions to turn complex course material into tangible ideas.

The school is based in Merton, perfectly positioned by main transport links. They are extremely high-achieving and welcoming to their staff and want to meet an Academic Mentor who can represent the school in a positive manner. The headteacher is particularly keen in meeting a graduate who is willing to undergo teacher training with them!
