The Company:

Darlington-based care provider HC-One has announced the creation of 130 new jobs in its Darlington Support Office following its recent agreement to acquire 122 Bupa care homes. These new jobs will cover a variety of support roles, at a range of levels, offering opportunities for all and further boosting HC-One’s position as a leading employer in Darlington.

The Role:

This is a great opportunity to join HC One's growing HR team working as part of the central HR Advisory team as a HR Help Desk Manager. Supporting the national network of care homes within the group, you will be responsible managing, coaching and developing the team of HR Advisors.

Key Responsibilities include:

    To support, mentor and coach the helpdesk based HR Advisor team to ensure the best advice and support is being givenAssist the Head of Employee Relations to implement HR programmes and policiesWork closely with the Field Based HR Team and Regional Operational teams to improve the quality of services Provide support in the delivery of any HR related projectsSlimline the processes within the Help Desk team to ensure all queries are dealt with efficiently Dealing with complex ER cases - advising and guiding care home managersIdentify training needs across the care home network
Experience Required:

It is essential that you have the experience in the following areas:

    Strong line management experienceDealing with a high volume of ER casesAbility to utilise time and prioritise effectively Experience implementing a new HR SystemAbility to work within a teamExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExperience of identifying and implementing process imrpovements
Working Environment :

    Able to work remotely and be office basedFlexible to travel at least 2 days per week when requiredBe able to drive and have a clean driving licence - This role will occasionally need you to travel to the region of care homes that you manage to assist and build relationships with Home Managers.
