Manager - Audit, Controls & Projects
Currently recruiting for an Audit Manager to working within a global retailer and manage a team of high calibre, qualified level ACA/ CA's. You will be asked to manage the internal audit, risk, controls and special projects for this global and leading business within its field
Reporting directly to a key Global Finance Director, you will be asked to take on a key and pivotal position across the business to support the business globally.
Within the role will be asked to take on the following key responsibilities
Performance of reviews and report on status of internal controls of European businesses units for the Group
Play a lead role in establishing and rolling out the Group's policies and procedures as well as operating standards.
Direct management of a number of qualified level ACA and CA finance professionals who are driven and operating within a fast paced forward thinking and ever changing environment
You will manage and report on all internal controls across the group , with particular focus on Europe?
Perform reviews and report on the status of controls (adequacy, efficiency and compliance of); finance policies and procedures; as well as operational standards
Provision of relevant advice and assurance to Group and maagers across the business in respect of key strategic decisions - for examples mergers and acquisitions, disposal of businesses etc
Provision of advice on ad hoc projects, post deal projects, principally in the areas of controls and procedures
Self assessment and support in respect of retail Operating Standards
Ongoing ad hoc operational and strategic project work to support the Global FD
Applicants must possess the following
A strong academic record as well as formal accountancy qualification or overseas equivalent
FMCG/retail, internal audit & COSO risk assessment - ideally gained withina retail or FMCG environment although relevant experience from all sectors is welcome. Those seeking a first move from a practice environment, particularly the Big 4 will also be considered.
3-5 years experience managing a team
European language skills would be an advantage
A motivated self starter is needed for this position. An excellent people manager and upbeat passioante individual who will enjoy working with a fast paced, ever changing retail environment.
The role will involve anywhere from 40-70% travel.
