Digital Marketing Executive / Manager, Barnstaple

The Role:

We’re seeking a creative yet methodical Digital Marketing Executive to manage and evolve our UK digital marketing plan to ensure it supports our key business objectives, continues to add value for our customers and remains compliant with company and industry requirements. Acting as the main point of contact for our UK digital work, you’ll work closely with our digital agencies (content, design and digital) and take responsibility for a range of our on-going activities to ensure they come in on time, within budget and to the required quality standards – including compliance with the ABPI and PAGB codes of conduct. This will include proactively updating and checking our company websites and external digital channels, working closely with our PR & Comms team to support intranet updates for all UK sites, producing regular reports to demonstrate the effectiveness of our activities and supporting cross-functional projects, as required. A major part of the role will be the management of our ‘Accord Academy’ and white label training platform for healthcare professionals. For this, you’ll work closely with our providers to develop effective content (business and disease related), run campaigns to promote it to our customers and manage supplier and customer relationships accordingly. In addition, we’re looking for someone to help us continually grow our digital offering – this could include using data analytics to segment CRM information to help us make the most of our existing systems, exploring the opportunities of using new social media channels or proposing new ways to support our customers. To help you keep up-to-date with industry developments, we actively support on-going development, including attending digital and industry events, subscribing to relevant information services and supporting appropriate training.

The Person:

With experience in a similar ‘Digital’ role (in-house or agency side), you have a good understanding of a range of digital channels with experience of being actively involved in running projects from brief to execution. Ideally you’ll have experience of working within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector with a good understanding of the ABPI and PAGB codes, but experience of working in other highly regulated environments with an understanding of working with industry guidelines is also useful. An understanding of digital evaluation methods and data analytics would be beneficial, as would an understanding of SEO principles. With strong organisation skills, you’re used to managing multiple projects at once, balancing priorities and maintaining a keen eye for detail, even in a fast-paced and changeable environment. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you build lasting relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers and can navigate cultural differences with ease. Taking pride in your work, you’re proactive in your approach, keen to learn and happy to take ownership of projects. In addition, you’re an excellent team player, always happy to help your colleagues to achieve tasks or share your knowledge to develop skill levels. With good IT skills, you’re experienced using a range of company systems and using the Microsoft Office suite. A marketing or digital marketing qualification would be beneficial, but not essential.

The Rewards:

In return, we offer a competitive salary package (with bonus scheme), a generous pension scheme and 27 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) per year. We also offer a range of other benefits to support our team, including childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, subsidised restaurant facilities and healthcare options. Not to mention the opportunity to be part of a progressive and expanding business with increasing global reach, and the support of ongoing training and development. To demonstrate our commitment to this, the successful candidate will be supported with a tailored continuous development programme, which could include industry training, attendance at conferences and relevant qualifications.

How to Apply:

If you possess the experience, passion and ability to make this role a success then we would love to hear from you. Please send your CV with covering letter by 23rd March or for further details you can contact Hattie via email on hattie_booth [at]
