King’s College London wish to appoint a full-time software & database developer to work in the Department of Twin Research for the development and maintenance of Software Applications and their corresponding databases within the cohort.

We are looking for a developer primarily with expert knowledge of web & Windows based Front-end application development using .Net languages with an MS SQL Server or Access back-end database. Knowledge of WordPress, MySQL and PHP development would be an advantage.

The candidate would be required to develop easy to use web-based applications and dashboards to enhance and automate the business processes as well as data collection and reporting facilities of the department. They will also be required to configure and maintain local databases for research projects of the TwinsUK Bioresource and produce graphical reports in MS Excel on the cohort, laboratory and clinical databases.

Working within a high level clinical and research data environment, the ideal candidate would have an IT related qualification and would be willing to learn and be proactive in the development of data systems to enhance the business processes within the Department dealing with requirements of all groups to ensure the design and development of appropriate systems.

The selection process will include an assessment and a panel interview.
