The Role:
Test Engineering Team Leader - Mechanical
Role Purpose
The Test Engineering Team Leader will lead and develop their team of Test Engineers who in turn have the responsibility to provide a representative testing platform for all in house testing of the Power Unit and its associated Sub Systems. You will also be responsible for delivering outstanding 'right first time' mechanical engineering solutions across all test platforms including auxiliary rigs, steady state dynos and transient dynos.

Role Specific Accountabilities
* Drive the Mechanical Test Engineering Team to deliver test solutions that provide repeatability and accuracy as required by the customer - Product Engineering, Performance Engineering & Product Validation
* Lead & develop a team of highly skilled Engineers specialising in the mechanical integration of PU's on world class test facilities
* Develop and challenge the engineering team to provide continuous improvement to all testing platforms and ensure any PU hardware is being tested in an environment that simulates the track
* Develop the best test engineering solutions in line with 'Right first time' approach to increase on - track performance

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree or post graduate degree in a relevant engineering subject
* Experience delivering mechanical engineering solutions of engine components or engine test platforms
* Strong experience in developing test facilities to a high standard
* Experience of working with a broad range of highly specialised stakeholders - Engineering Customers, Suppliers, Technicians & Programme Management
* Proven management/supervisory experience would be beneficial for this role
