Your new role
This is an electro-mechanical role that involves both retro-fitting/adaptation of new equipment and reconditioning of equipment that has been returned from the field for repair/service. The devices are electrically powered pumping equipment that are often deployed in fairly harsh environments. You role is to strip and clean the devices and overhaul them so they're ready to be returned to the field. You will also provide support to customers by installing and commissioning equipment and providing general technical support. This is mostly a workshop-based role, but there will be occasional travel to customer sites, including some European travel (though the vast majority would be within the UK). Regular working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an engineer with mechanical engineering skills and a basic knowledge of electrical systems (a recognised electrical qualification would be an advantage). You will have previously worked in a relevant role and ideally within a regulated industry (eg. working to standards of compliance). You'll be available for occasional travel to client sites in the UK and Europe and have the confidence and ability to work under your own steam a lot of the time. Finally, you'll have good communication skills and be comfortable talking with client representatives.
