Grafton Banks Finance is exclusively recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager covering the EMEA area of a £300m turnover company with offices near Leatherhead, Surrey. Reporting directly to the Finance Director you will be responsible for managing all of the company’s transactions across the European region including accounts payable and receivable and payroll, in additional to ensuring best-in-class controls are in place and observed across finance operations. The role manages four management accountants covering the general ledger, P&L, forecasting and balance sheets and ten transactional staff – AP & AR. As a key member of the regional Finance team the successful candidate will proactively drive end-to-end process improvements and build and lead a world-class team in order to maximise the accuracy of financial reporting and the efficiency of processes. The successful candidate will also use their technical and inter-personal skills to ensure that key governance processes and frameworks are documented and adhered to and that deadlines and quality targets are met. Main responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the management accounting team with ownership of the ledgers across the European region

  • Lead and manage the Finance Operations activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury

  • Ensuring regional financial processes and controls are optimised and adhered to and fit within the overall Group financial control framework

  • Support and lead where required projects to deliver substantial improvements to systems and processes that impact operational colleagues maximising the overall efficiency of the business and reducing the proportional cost of supporting the region

  • Provide financial controlling leadership for acquisition projects ensuring that any acquired vehicle is quickly integrated into the company way of working and reporting

  • Provide regional leadership (either in support of or supported by Group Financial Controlling colleagues) on filing and audit matters including statutory audit, tax submissions and audit tax registration applications

  • Lead the liaison with any specialist advisors on tax, treasury or financial instrument advice as required by the region
