Strategic Commodity Manager
South Yorkshire
£35,000 - £40,000 plus benefits

Role Profile
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global manufacturing business based in South Yorkshire as a Strategic Commodity Manager.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a small team
  • Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Procurement of fabrications, raw materials and subassemblies
  • Developing supplier relationships
  • Managing tender packages
  • Delivering savings and leading projects
  • Maximising quality and minimising costs

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Procurement experience within a Manufacturing and Engineering environment
  • Proven negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Strong strategic mindset and the ability of developing business

The following may also prove to be an advantage:

  • Previous experience in the automotive sector
  • Read/understand engineering drawings
  • MCIPS or part CIPS qualification
