Highly profitable and rapidly expanding Financial Services Company seeks an experienced Accounts Assistant to work within the Finance Department. They offer a professional working environment and a varied, fast paced role within an exciting industry. The successful candidate will have a previous accounts payable background and be able to work towards tight deadlines.

As the accounts assistant your duties will include:
•All aspects of accounts payable, matching, batching and coding of invoices.
•Reconciling supplier statements on a weekly basis.
•Reconciling the bank statements on a weekly basis.
•Processing and paying employee expenses.
•Investigating and resolving queries relating to payments.
•Allocating payments onto the ledger.
•Quarterly VAT returns.
•Reconciling the bank statements on a weekly basis.
•Assisting the financial controller with monthly management and financial accounts.
•General accounts administration as required.

Preferred Skills:
•Previous accounts experience and some management accounts experience is essential.
•Sound knowledge of Sage would also be a strong advantage.
•Ability to use initiative and work to deadlines.
•Ability to prioritise tasks and organise personal work load taking into account departmental targets.
•A positive, self-motivated and driven attitude.
