Bright Purple Resourcing is looking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer on behalf of our client: a global market leader in Payroll / HR software solutions. Based in attractive Glasgow offices you will join an established, yet rapidly expanding organisation with offices throughout the UK.


*Work with customers to define their business requirements.
*Progress requirements into design, either via self or by utilisation of other team members.
*Assist colleagues to achieve delivery of core/bespoke software products in accordance with agreed schedules and the IT development procedures.
*Work closely with other developers and analyst on a technical level to progress projects and review and resolve issues.
*Assume ownership and responsibility for design issues raised during projects, progressing to resolution with IT project manager and customer.
*Communicate, and escalate if needed, on issues identified which impact project delivery schedules
*Use the experienced gained to develop the skills and knowledge of colleagues within the development teams.
*Use experience to validate proposed software solutions within the business
*Supply an amount of project management time to the IT Project managers where required.
*Provide out of hours on call support when required.
*Develop software solutions as required as part of a project team.

To be considered you will have:

*Problem identification and the exercising of sound judgement in their resolution.
*Experience of performing to agreed time scales and to Departmental and project standards.
*Effective handling of internal customer relationships evidenced by the achievement of successful collaboration over the achievement of objectives.
*Experience and confidence in dealing with all levels of internal and external customer contacts.
*Ability to undertake the detailed planning and day-to-day control of IT projects, evidenced by a consistent record of achievement in meeting targets is desirable.
*To identify problems or issues taking corrective action to resolve them, escalating to IT development managers / senior IT development manager
