Support Engineer/Systems Adminstrator/Cloud engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join a great team that work on supporting cloud & service technologies for their customer base.

With a strong customer service focussed background including excellent communication skills, the successful candidate will be able to provide good customer relationship management working closely with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

Whilst the company would ideally like someone with prior experience of working with cloud technologies/in a cloud environment, they would be willing to consider someone who can demonstrate a desire to move into this area.

Skills required:

With a passion for cloud & service technologies and a keenness to learn new skills, you will diagnose and troubleshoot customer environments and platforms and take ownership of customer issues through to resolution.

The responsibilities of the role cover configuration & management of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments on both Microsoft Azure & Amazon Web Services.

The ideal support engineer will demonstrate experience of:

  • working in a customer facing environment,
  • operating in a multi-disciplinary team
  • ITIL aligned processes including incident, request fulfilment & change management
  • communicating with technical & non-technical audiences

You will also ideally have working knowledge of:

  • Microsoft & Linux operating systems
  • Microsoft Azure & Amazon Web Services
  • Office 365 general administration & user management
  • Network & Security management (Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint)
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Cloud operational characteristics and management approaches
  • ITSM, SAM best practices
  • ITIL aligned processes including incident, request fulfilment & change management
