Finance Manager / Accountant - CIMA / ACCA

Finance Manager / Accountant - CIMA / ACCA: A major Defence company are looking to secure the services of a Newly Qualified Accountant / Finance Manager to join their site in Basildon to provide financial advice and support to the functional cost centre managers in cost control, support UK reporting team in the management of shared service cost allocation, and responsible for preparing MOD rates for UK Centre and liaise with MoD CAAS.

Finance Manager / Accountant - CIMA / ACCA Responsibilities:
* Cost control and reporting of actual overhead expenditure v budget, support to cost centre managers and regular meetings to support and review actual costs, forecasting, and reporting on variances for UK Centre overhead.
* Inputs to Integrated Business Plan, preparing cost centre phased budgets with Cost Centre managers.
* Work with Central reporting team to complete shared service allocation and journal costs.
* Produce Shared Service Monthly Management Report
* Apply allocation methodology to transfer shared service costs to Sites/Divisions
* Generate MoD rates for UK Centre. Understand cost base and apply MoD rules for allowable costs to construct rates
* Submit rates to MoD CAAS to timetable agreed. Provide to MoD CAAS supporting information as required and liaise with them to answer any queries and resolve audit issues.
* Adherence to company policy, IAS standards and Group instructions.
* Support internal and external audit requirements including supporting Finance input into Law 262 process

Finance Manager / Accountant - CIMA / ACCA Requirements:
* Newly Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
* Proficiency in EXCEL
* Self motivated and driven to succeed
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* Business focused

* Defence Sector Experience
* Experience in SAP

The successful candidate will be required to achieve full SC clearance for this opportunity!
