Accounting Practice Manager

Co-managing the Practice alongside the Managing Director, implementing team and business targets and monitoring the same. What does the role involve?
Reviewing & preparing of Self-Assessment Tax Returns and accounts for sole traders and partnerships.
Reviewing & preparing Ltd Company management accounts, year-end accounts and Corporation Tax Returns.
Reviewing & preparing VAT Returns along with Online Submission.
Reviewing payroll work.
Assisting and training other members of staff.
Internal practice management.
Review of current clients.
Organise systems to manage workflow cost effectively.
To complete all sales invoices./order forms clearly and accurately
To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested rom tie to time including travel to client sites as required
To assist with the development of new business, deal with enquiries from potential clients, organise and attend meetings, produce proposals and close the sale.
Any new training will be provided in learning the practice software, however, experience with accounting and tax software such as Sage Accounts Production, CCH Central and Quickbooks Online will be an advantage.
Is this you?
You will have proven accounts and taxation experience and will have worked in practice for at least five years.
You must have relevant and recent small practice experience and be used to working on your own initiative
Ideally, you will be qualified or studying towards ACCA/ACA or hold an accountancy degree.
Proven ability for Business Development and practice expansion?
You must have a good working knowledge of accounts preparation and computations of taxes with the ability to hit the ground running and assist with preparing and reviewing tasks. As a successful candidate you will also have:

Drive & ambition with a high focus towards customer service.
You will also have a sound knowledge of accounting principles and strong business acumen.
Your tax knowledge must be up to date and you will need good IT skills.
Working knowledge of accounting software highly desirable
Advanced user of Microsoft Office
Excellent organisational skills and ability to consistently hit deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to train and coach others
Ability to follow processes
You must also have good people skills, be highly organized and be able to work unsupervised to strict deadlines. You must have a good command of the English language (both spoken and written) as the job involves writing of technical emails to clients.
You will be client facing and take on a portfolio of new and existing clients to manage.
