Are you an DevOps contractor, available to start by the end of March and be based in Cornwall?

Do you have proven experience and enjoy helping customers develop and deploy the infrastructure required to host their new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) based application?

DevOps - Contract - Cornwall - up to six months

One of our customers wishes to adopt infrastructure-as-code (IAC) and continuous integration to speed up the delivery of their application and ensure a robust mechanism for scaling the application and reliably releasing new versions.

The application will be hosted on UKCloud's Openstack based cloud infrastructure.

You will be working with the customer's newly employed Devops team, acting as the most senior resource in the team ensuring that knowledge is transferred and documentation is created.

The team has a project manager though your help will be required with sprint planning to ensure that the customer's architectural needs are met. One of our Cloud Architect will also be involved in the process ensuring that the project is delivering the customers' business and technical requirements.

As this role is based in Cornwall for the duration of the project, travel and accommodation will be paid.

Essential Requirements:

You must be able to show us your skill and experience in delivering these projects and show us what you have done with:

* IaaS (Openstack / EC2 / GCP or similar)
* Templated deployments (Terraform)
* Configuration management (Ansible)
* Pipeline technologies (e.g Jenkins)

In addition, a strong understanding of the following sysadmin topics will be required:

* Linux
* Authentication
* Logging
* Load Balancing / Proxying

Desirable Requirements:

* Security clearance
