The Solutions Architect takes a key role in the forward development of a market-leading solution for real-time payment processing. Using a broad technology background, the Solution Architect will drive the solution road-map from a capability, technology, integration and infrastructure perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translating business requirements into technical solution designs, which may include contextual, conceptual, logical and physical views of the architecture
  • Conducting solution architecture reviews of existing system, and communicating the findings of the review back to stakeholders
  • Working as part of the technical steering committee, providing guidance to deliver solutions that conform to company and industry standards and best practices
  • Acting in the capacity of coach or mentor to junior staff, enabling them to develop their knowledge and solution architecture skills
  • Providing technical leadership

Skills / Experiences / Attributes:

  • Significant capability in the Design & implementation of end-to-end data and application architectures for complex, transactional systems
  • Capability in conceptual, logical and physical modelling
  • Experience of analysing and implementing solutions to meet both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Previous hands-on experience with back end development technologies (e.g. Java)
  • Experience across modern architectural / delivery standards and methods including Agile, TDD, DevOps, Cloud and Microservices Architecture
  • Broad engagement skills including Business Analysis and Project Management
  • Experience and appreciation for the Payments Industry and regulatory landscape from both a technical and a functional perspective

  • Salary: Competitive Base + 20% bonus + 10% pension + extensive benefits
