We are looking for software engineers to support the development of an aircraft electrical distribution system. Working from our dedicated engineering centre as well as on the client’s site, our engineers perform a wide range of systems and software engineering activities from early stage software development for embedded systems to verification analysis and integration testing.

Typical activities can vary and may include some, or all, of the following:

  • Performing software development activities for the development of an embedded system in line with DO178 and DAL B
  • Writing Test procedures and Test Scripts and performing Unit test
  • Performing software verification, verification analysis, integration testing activities on an embedded system in line with DO160 and DAL B
  • Implementing requirements changes
  • Investigating and implementing Problem reports and change requests
  • Reviewing and re-working the design artefacts
  • Performing Tool qualification activities

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Experience of software development activities for embedded systems
  • ADA, C or other embedded experience
  • An appreciation of aerospace standards such as DO178B and / or DO160
  • Experience of Electronic Architecture
  • Experience of DOORS
  • A degree in Aerospace engineering or similar related field
  • Familiarity with Agile methods
