Assistant Accountant - Planning & Reporting
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful finance team. You will provide financial information and support for the reporting and planning functions within the business. The role is suited to a part-qualified Accountant ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent who is highly motivated to progress their career.
Planning and Reporting on the preparation of annual financial plans. Be heavily involved in the financial planning process, to include: Set up and maintenance of planning models and templates, analysis and reports, new product information, timely completion of books.
Supporting the Senior Accountant in the preparation of monthly forecast/rolling forecast. Template update and upload, review of risks and opportunities. Help with implementation of Brand / Category forecast.
Own a category P/L - provide insight into the performance of the category, act as a business partner, attend relevant reviews, help drive the category strategy.
Provide training to other Finance Associates on the Finance site, explore ways of utilising the site, coordinate the set-up of "segmental ownership" section
Become systems super user - BPC / SAP - provide training to other Associates, help with reporting requirements, assist in interpreting results. Build strong relationships to ensure accurate reporting of financial information
Undertake ad hoc activities as requested by the Financial Controller
Part-qualified in one of the following professional financial certifications CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent
A self-starter and a positive can - do attitude
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
