Payroll Assistant required to join a business based in Huntingdon.

You will report into a Payroll Manager and will support with the day to day payroll function as follows;

-Processing and reviewing the monthly and weekly payroll
-Running reports as required from the payroll system
-Assisting colleagues throughout the UK business with payroll-related queries
-P11D preparation & auditing of expense claims
-Working closely with the Financial Accounting and ISSC teams on monthly Payroll
account reconciliations and ad-hoc payment queries throughout the month
-Manual calculation & processing of ad-hoc payments
-Payments over to third parties (taxes & pensions)
-Dealing with internal & external enquiries
-Liaison with colleagues at the India & Poland Shared Service Centres and other offices
across Europe
-Compliance with current legislation, internal policies and procedures
-Assisting the Financial Accounting team with internal SOX compliance
-Liaison with both External and Internal Audit teams
-Any other ad-hoc tasks as required

Candidates must have previous payroll experience and be able to work well within a team and independently. Excellent attention to detail is key and having a good telephone manner.
