I am currently recruiting on behalf of a great client of mine for a payroll and payable specialist.

This role will be a temporary role for 3 months, however may have scope to become a longer term opportunity.

This role would suit someone that has liaised with payroll bureau and has extensive experience within payables.

Client Details

My client is an international business based in the outskirts of Epsom; due to their location this role would ideally suit a driver.

 Advise payroll bureau of payroll amendments on a monthly basis.

 Check payroll reports to ensure amendments are correct.

 Deal with PAYE/NIC and other payroll queries.

 Liaise with outsourced payroll bureau as required.

 Check BACS listing and ensure all payroll related payments authorised and processed.

 Provide the payroll journal on a monthly basis and submit to Financial Accounts for posting to the accounting system. Provide assistance in the reconciliation of payroll.

 Provide information to payroll bureau regarding production of year end calculations, eg. P60, P11d, etc.

 Administration of pension payments.

 Assist with the administration of the expense and payment systems, including employee expenses.

 Ensure all payments are made in accordance with company policy.

 Ensure all payments are duly authorised before being paid.

 Prepare payments in a timely manner according to the payment procedure.

 Resolve all queries with suppliers and perform periodic reconciliations.

 Raise sales ledger invoices for dealers, intercompanies and third parties as required and chase monies due.

 Assist in the month end and year end procedures as required.

 Provide an efficient service to the internal and external customers of the department

 Performing other ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as the Finance & Compliance Director, or other senior managers may require from time to time.

 Any other appropriate duties as required by line manager.


To be considered for this role you must;

  • Payroll knowledge and experience - ideally liaising with an outsourced provider
  • Experience with seeing the purchase ledger through from start to finish
  • Able to start within 1 weeks notice
  • Be a driver - the location is based on the outskirts of Epsom
