Mechanical Project Manager – HVAC Building Services

My client is a leading provider of Mechanical & Electrical Building Services, specialists in the provision of tailored and bespoke Building Services Engineering solutions to a wide ranging client base to include Commercial, Corporate, Government and Healthcare respectively.

A Mechanical Project Manager is required to oversee, manage and deliver a number of Mechanical & HVAC building services installation projects from inception to completion and handover.

The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible and accountable for the ongoing management, completion and delivery of HVAC building services projects, ranging in value from c20K to c5M, operating across the Commercial sector to include (not limited to) Government Buildings, Schools, Hospitals and Office Accommodation respectively.

The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for the following (not an exhaustive list)

• Tender analysis
• Materials and subcontractors procurement
• Design & installation co-ordination
• Site supervision
• Management of sub-contractors
• Attending meetings, weekly progress reports
• Monitoring quality control and defects tracking
• Cost analysis
• Applications for Interim Payment, Variations & Final Accounts

The Mechanical Project Manager will have an office base in Hertfordshire, commutable from areas to include Watford, Luton, Milton Keynes & Northampton, and will spend time both on site and in the office accordingly.

Candidate Requirements

• Mechanical Building Services engineering qualifications/further training commensurate to the position of an experienced Mechanical Project Manager.
• Ideal Further Training will include: CSCS Card, SMSTS / SSSTS, Asbestos Awareness & IOSH/NEBOSH
• Experienced in the management and delivery of Mechanical, HVAC building services installation projects
• Mechanical HVAC building services projects delivered within client environments to include commercial, corporate, healthcare and education.
• Management of site operative’s i.e. mechanical and electrical trades, both in-house and sub-contractors, numbers dependent on the size of the project(s)
• Driving License
