An industry-leading manufacturer of precision components has a new vacancy for a Quality Inspector. With previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing / engineering environment you will visual and mechanical inspection skills.

Salary: £17,500 + overtime + pension

The Role & Candidate

Working as part of the inspection team you will be tasked with verifying products and parts manufactured meet with customer requirements and regulations. The position entails ensuring regular and appropriate testing and inspection of the final product prior to release to customer.

Candidates must be conversant with standard gauging equipment and dimensional inspection. The successful Quality Inspector will have strong ability to interpret technical documentations (drawings, BOM’s, Quality Plans, specifications and procedures).

Proven experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing / engineering environment, aerospace is preferable. Ideally you will be competent with basic measuring equipment including; Calipers, Micrometers and Gauges etc.
Key responsibilities:

Inspection of materials, parts (WIP and final product), its paperwork and packaging against the applicable requirements and configuration at the relevant stages in the manufacturing process, by use of conventional inspection methods/means and in accordance with the inspection plans
Carry out line process and product inspections throughout the factory
Carry out work station audits
Contain and declare detected non-conformances in accordance with the quality system
Assist and support problem solving activities and the company’s continuous improvement program
Actively participate in safety improvement activities
Perform all reasonable requests made by management
