£28,000-£35,000 + Pension + Benefits

The Company:

A specialist engineering solutions provider, my client is a well-established designer and manufacturer of bespoke machinery sold all over the world. They design and engineer state of the art technology within their product development department and are looking for an experienced electronics engineer to help drive this.

The Role:

To design, build and commission automated test equipment (ATE) for PCBs and small assemblies, including firmware and/or embedded software, and hand over to the Operations team and suppliers.

To assist the Senior Electronics Development Engineer with new product developments and improvements to existing designs.

To proactively manage component obsolescence.

To engage with a QA program to capture and improve documentation for existing PCBs.

To provide routine Electronics support to Operations activities, primarily via email and phone but occasionally in the workshop and on site internationally.

To liaise with suppliers to ensure that PCBs are delivered to specification and on time.

To assist the team in designing new PCBs with DFM and DFT considerations.

To diagnose faults on new and existing products using test and instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and current probes.

Required Experience:

You must be a qualified and experienced electronics engineer

Analogue & Digital design experience

Test and development experience
