A Quality Manager is needed for a successful manufacturing business in North Derbyshire. Our client is a dynamic and innovative metals business that services a wide variety of industries.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the Quality Manager will lead the Quality department, in a fast moving engineering environment. The successful candidate will be vital in ensuring that all Quality best practices are met with an effective framework.

This is a critical role in the business and due to plant growth, our client is looking to find a determined and committed individual who will help mould and drive a successful senior management team.

Quality Manager’s Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of the QMS to ISO9001 AS9100 and NADCAP, and ensure the proper implementation of all quality plans and procedures.
- Take ownership and accountability, whilst driving continuous improvement of the Quality program and culture
- Review new standards and procedures to ensure quality compliance
- Develop department KPI’s for the control of quality to ensure development plans are created and maintained
- Manage the team of Quality Engineers

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Experience of managing Quality standards to AS9100 and NADCAP
- Extensive experience of driving Quality improvements throughout the wider business, and managing a ‘cost of poor quality’ program.
- Excellent man-management skills, empowering those around you
- Positive, friendly, driven attitude with an outgoing personality
- Able to communicate well with both shop floor and senior stakeholders alike.
