We are a hands-on engineering team with a real passion for the products we make and a desire to continually evolve and innovate. We are recruiting for an engineer to join our Electrical and Electronics design team and play a key role in the development of our product range.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineer:

You will have ownership and responsibility for a series of machine control systems, including the design, development, sign-off and in service support. You will work with colleagues and key external suppliers to specify components, define software requirements and deliver test programmes in line with agreed project timescales.

You will be involved in writing real-time embedded software for prototype and production machines and internationally recognised quality standards.

Depending on your experience, a senior engineer would normally also be given a technical area of responsibility for the machine.

In this role you will report to the Electrical Design Manager.

About you:

You will have:

- Degree level qualification in electronic/software engineering or a similar relevant subject

- Extensive proven experience in a related industry

- A comprehensive understanding of control system logic and an appreciation of functional safety

- Familiarity with off highway electronic control systems

- Experience developing creative solutions to complex problems

- Strong communication skills and be comfortable working independently and as a member of a team

- Experience diagnosing and rectifying faults with electrical circuits and control systems

- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude

Desirable skills:

- Experience of the C programming language.

- Experience of developing control system algorithms in Simulink.

- Experience using CAD tools to draw electrical wiring schematics.

- Familiarity with off highway driveline and hydraulic systems.

- Experience working with ISO 15998, ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 safety standards.
