Vision for Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in an alternative education provision in the Newcastle area. The centre caters for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).

The ideal candidate will have the patience, empathy and caring nature to support young people that have a variety of mental health issues. Students have been placed here because they are unable to access mainstream education due to various things going on in their lives such as anxiety, eating distress, teenage pregnancy, school phobia and depression to name but a few. Any similar experience will be considered but a genuinely caring personality is paramount in getting through to young people that can often have very little trust in adults and people they don’t know.

In reward for your hard work, Vision for Education provide the following:

* Excellent daily rates paid weekly through PAYE
* Free access to all CPD such as Team Teach and seminars on behaviour management techniques
* Pension Contributions (subject to qualifying period)
* Vision for Education pay all employee NI contributions
* Regular social events with 100% complimentary food and drink
* Access to a dedicated SEN consultant 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

To apply you must be eligible to work in the UK as a temporary worker. Vision for Education are committed to Safeguarding and all candidates must hold an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, full assistance provided
