IT Support Engineer – Manchester, Windows, Cloud, VoIP up to £28,000

A leading Financial Services organisation are recruiting for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their Helpdesk team. The business is experiencing high growth at the moment as they continue to strengthen and expand their market share and core competencies.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform complete 1st and 2nd line IT duties with additional (as directed) 3rd line IT duties

* Primary contact for IT Service Desk team, logging

* Diagnosing and resolving technical issues logged

* via Helpdesk ticketing system within agreed SLA’s

* Escalating issues to 3rd line /Dev where required

* Ensuring desktops, laptops, devices, servers and systems are up to date with security updates and protection

* Ensuring company data is adequately backed up to ensure recovery and protection

* Continually reviewing and adapting infrastructure in line with dev/ops systems demand

* Performing problem management and root cause analysis on key incidents with the associated internal and external providers

Demonstrable experience from a similar technical role in some of the following:

* Infrastructure configuration and build

* Networking: information security, firewalls, routers, switches

* Operating systems: Microsoft (essential), Linux/other (optional)

* Cloud computing platforms (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure)
