My client is a cutting-edge designer and manufacturer of technology the Aerospace industry, due to planned maternitaly leave they are seeking cover for 12 months for the planning and finance department..

Job Responsibilities:

Resource Planning and Budgeting

Become the subject matter expert on resource MS Project Server tools, planning and budgeting processes and improve the processes, enabling us to always know how much capacity we have.
Collating all projects and their respective budget and resource needs
Pro-actively monitoring performance and schedule measures
Liaising with the Finance department to prepare budgets
Providing scenarios of workload vs. capacity and presenting them to senior management team

Information Management Tools

Look after the Engineering dashboards, and take them to the next level.
Maintain visually appealing user tailored visual dashboards using Visual Basic and develop them further looking into other data retrieval methods.

Project Support

Support project managers across the Engineering department with planning, budgeting, resource and financial reporting and related processes and metrics.
Coaching and mentoring staff in the use of Microsoft Project Server and other tools and troubleshoot any associated issues
Using, configuring and developing Power Query and Power BI to analyse project data
IT business partner for MS Project Server Online

Be motivated by an endless stream of new problems to solve and things to take to the next level. Drive the philosophy and implementation of continuous improvement activities to drive down cost and schedules and to achieve best in class quality, processes, governance and politics.
Continuously improving project management processes, highlighting and preventing repeated issues.

Skills & Experience:

* HND / degree educated
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, approachable
* Experience and interest in data analytics and statistics
* Outstanding Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic knowledge
* Basic programming knowledge or a genuine interest to get more acquainted with this
* Talent in visually and verbally presenting data to different stakeholders
* Proven track record in problem solving
* MS Project / MS Project Server / MS Project Online Experience beneficial
* Good understanding of project planning tools and processes beneficial
* Experience in either financial management, resource planning management or PMO related disciplines beneficial
