Position - Electronic Engineer

Location Luton and surrounding

The Company

Our client is a leading manufacture within the medical devices arena, specialists in the manufactureing of diathermy equipment amongst other medical devices, such as surgeon control panels, lighting etc

Main purpose of the job - Electronic Engineer

The Electronic Engineer vacancy is a field based role involving the commissioning, fault finding and maintaining of various equipment provided by a leading medical devices manufacturer to the Healthcare industry. The role also requires the individual to work under their own initiative and under supervision when appointed to a site or project as the Engineer. This may also involve attending site meetings, reviewing and assisting with programs of work and the review of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)

Key result areas/tasks/responsibilities/main duties: Electrical Engineer

1. As an Electronic Engineer you will maintain, commission and fault find a range of manufactured and distributor equipment across the home counties region. There may also be Travel to other parts of the UK to assist during busier times.

2. Provide technical feedback to our customers and office based staff on progression of Commissioning, maintenance and faults.

3. Provide site surveys and technical support to Sales, Project Managers and customers to ensure all on-site eventualities have been considered.

4. Help to increase the number of systems on contract by advising customers on other products which may not be covered on an active service site. This information should be fed back to the Service Contracts Manager.

5. Attend site meetings and assist where applicable with programs of works.

6. Assist with SSoW and advise dynamic (site) based changes where appropriate.

Any other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility

Key competencies -Electronic Engineer

Ability to work and manage in a high pressure environment. 

Work autonomously taking initiative to resolve customer issues. 

Well-developed problem solving skills within electronic engineering) 

Have BS7671 17th Edition (inspection and testing also desirable but not essential as training can be provided) 

Experience of maintaining and commissioning various electronic systems 

Be willing to travel and work outside of Normal Hours. 

Excellent verbal and written communication. 

Excellent attention to detail. 

Ability to generate new sales leads
