An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Micro-Electronics Operator to join a well-known, multi-national company based in Bolton, on an initial 6 months contract. The Micro-Electronics Operator will be responsible for the assembly of Micro-Electronics components in accordance with Manufacturing Instructions and drawings, certification procedures, defined workmanship standards, allocated budgets and time scales to match project objectives.

The successful candidate will be experienced in:

• Wire Bonding and Die Attach (including Eutectic die attach, epoxy dispensing and pick and place).
• Substrate attachment and Micro-soldering.
• MIL-STD-883 standards for micro-electronics assembly and IPC-A-610 & 001, as well as working in a Clean Room environment.
• Handling of miniature and fragile parts with vacuum tools and tweezers, with manual dexterity essential.
• Handling and assembling miniature components using a stereo zoom microscope.
• Producing consistent quality of workmanship on repetitive manual and semi-automated processes, and have the ability to inspect own work to specified standards.

The Micro-Electronics Operator will be knowledgeable in the assembly of Micro-Electronic components in accordance with Manufacturing Instructions / drawings, while being able to complete Route Cards and manufacturing documentation. They will work in accordance with Clean Room operating procedures and disciplines, and be proficient in the inspection of own work to published workmanship standards, as well as performing routine daily and weekly preventative maintenance activities on process equipment.
