Business Development Manager

Job Purpose
* To work jointly with the Directors in the implementation of our clients marketing strategies for the UK.
* To provide growth in the areas of business based around the sales strategies.
* To manage prequalification and sales support activities.

Principal Accountabilities:
* Lead the implementation of the company’s marketing & sales strategy and report monthly on its implementation. Ensure the strategy is kept current.
* Develop and sustain client relationships in areas identified by the sales and marketing strategy, and also start to develop external relationships as opportunities arise. Ensure an effective and efficient response to client requests.
* Develop Supply Chain partner relationships with existing partners, report on progress.
* Manage the sales pre-qualification and proposal activities. Contribute to the decision making process as to whether to quote or otherwise. Assess the chance of proposal success and provide support in determining costs and pricing strategy.

o Estimating
* Maintain the client database. Document and distribute sales reports and visits for the areas in which you are responsible.
* Develop customer relationships and, where applicable, become account manager for designated clients.
