About the role -

CARE stands for Choices, Actions, Relationships and Emotions. It is an accredited offending behavior intervention for women in prison with a history of violence who have complex needs. It aims to better understand and reduce the risk that these women may potentially pose to themselves and others and to live a more full filling and pro-social life. For this group of women engaging and benefiting from treatment may be very difficult. CARE is therefore motivational and carefully constructed so that the style, content and sequencing of the programme is accessible and engaging for participants. These include issues related to mental health, personality disorder, substance misuse, self-harm and suicide. CARE builds on strengths as well as addressing problems and provides participants with the opportunity to identify and work towards a new, successful and pro-social life.

You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service. If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you!
