Community Services Nurse Lead - Registered Manager – Winslow

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and forward thinking Community Services Nurse Lead - Registered Manager to lead a new service for people with learning disabilities and/or autism in Bestwood, Nottinghamshire. This development is part of our ongoing commitment to the Transforming Care Agenda and our key aim of supporting timely discharge from hospital to community.

Your role with us
Your focus will be to clinically and managerially drive and develop this exciting and innovative service to ensure that we provide an outstanding experience for those who use it and their families.

You will need to work positively and productively with internal and external stakeholders including those who provide education, work and leisure opportunities within the community.

The service is within a village setting and your challenge will be to ensure people are included and not just located within their community.
We will be serving people who are often moving from secure provision and therefore confidence and competence in positive behavioural support and positive risk management will be central to the role. We are therefore seeking to appoint a suitably qualified nurse, currently registered with the NMC, into the post of registered manager.

Your profile

You will be someone who is pro-active, adaptable and a resilient leader.
You need to be qualified as a Register Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or a Registered Nurse Learning Disability (RNLD) and have experience leading a clinical team.
