With manufacturing facilities located UK and Europe, we now require a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of skilled and qualified multi disciplined maintenance engineers.

You will report into the Maintenance Manager and be the link between the Maintenance Team and Senior members of the operational function of the business. Working closely with and supporting the maintenance manager.

Salary: £42,500

Hours/Shift: Mon-Fri 6am-2pm 2pm-10pm 10pm-6am with cover of 1 in every 3 weekends Sat/Sun 8hr shift
Benefits: Pension/33 days holiday
Location: Must be able to commute to Heanor
Background required: Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment. Ideally worked at Team leader or supervisory level or with the capacity and knowledge to lead a team. You must be competent to develop a team and act as the crucial link between shop floor and management.

The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application

Time served apprentice trained

Ideally Mechanically competent with Hydraulic applications

Previously worked at Team Leader or Supervisory level OR have the drive and capacity to step up into a supervisory role
An influential Leader and have an understanding of the latest maintenance techniques.
Good communication skills are essential to implement and achieve business objectives working closely with senior management
Must be PC literate.

Key duties/responsibilities:

* Help establish Maintenance Engineering strategies to achieve the overall plant reliability.
* Help develop the PPM system ensuring checks and repairs are carried out on time and effectively by the shift engineers.
* Monitor spares for critical equipment to ensure a fast response to breakdowns.
* Promote effective communication between internal / external teams
* Maintain a positive Health, Safety and environmental culture in all staff and contractors on site.
* Coach, mentor and support all team members to optimise their performance
