A temporary Income Officer is required by a leading Greater Manchester-based Housing Association to commence ASAP and running initially to the end of April 2018.

Working from easily accessed modern offices with parking, our client wishes to engage with a talented Rents / Income Officer who can evidence strong and recent experience within a social housing or local authority setting.

As part of a centralised income team you will work with colleagues to identify and support customers who are behind with their rent payments to ensure a mutually beneficial agreement is put in place quickly.

This includes but is not limited to:

- Maximising customers' income and ensuring uptake of all available benefits where applicable
- Negotiating sustainable repayment plans with customers
- Meeting customers in the office and in their homes to discuss arrears and complete income and expenditure overview
- Signposting to internal and external partners for specialist debt and welfare advice
- Preparing and presenting cases to court where rent arrears have not been collected following all reasonable attempts within the association's rent recovery protocols
- Attending evictions on behalf of the association

This is a superb opportunity to join one of the region's leading RSLs and we know how well thought of they are by their staff following feedback from previous candidates we've placed with them.
