£24,241 up to £33,515 pa (depending on qualifications)

They boast excellent facilities, strong partnerships with major employers and universities, and excellent international relationships. These have helped to make its campuses and schools sought-after places to study for thousands of young people and adults.

They have some exciting developments around their engineering department at present. In addition, the College is seeking to resource a new Technology Institute, a £9.5 million specialist facility to train the next generation of engineers.

They currently have exciting opportunities available for Lecturers in Engineering within Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Automotive and Fork Lift Truck Maintenance. The role would suit an individual who has a relevant degree or a minimum level 3 qualification/equivalent with teaching experience being desirable. They’re looking for an individual who is flexible to support the recruitment of students and to be an ambassador for the college, a strong team member who can help further develop the department.

Key duties will include formal scheduled teaching, progress reviews and management of learning programmes and curriculum development as well as student admission and induction, preparation of learning materials, marking of student’s work and marking of examinations.

They’re looking for someone with a Teaching Qualification ie. Cert. Ed. (Level 5)/ equivalent or someone who is prepared to gain this within 2 years of appointment as the College has the facilities to help you with this development. You will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office and will possess a willingness to undertake personal and professional development appropriate to the needs of the College.
