Your new school
You will be working in a dynamic primary school in Hastings with a creative Senior Leadership Team. This is a school that works hard to enable children to overcome barriers to learning and is highly inclusive in it's approach to education. Furthermore it is accessible by public transport.
Your new role
You will be supporting the classroom teacher in providing exceptional education to all students in the class. You will create educational resources and participate in the planning and preparation of lessons. You will also assist the teacher in assessing and monitoring the development of pupils. You will run phonics and maths groups and support individual pupils who you identify as needing additional support. You will develop bespoke ILPs for children who require them and ensure that they are delivered to a high standard.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have recent and relevant experience of working within a classroom setting.
You will be highly organised with exceptional communication skills. You will be a flexible and creative individual who is competently able to manage challenging behaviour. You will be able to run Maths and Phonics groups and have good IT skills which you are able to implement in a classroom setting. You will quickly be able to build rapport with pupils and develop good working relationships with staff and parents/carers.
