Job Title: Revenue Controller / Credit Controller

Location: Central Bristol

Ref: VLL/19979

Duration: 6+ months

Salary: Competitive, on application

Purpose of the role:

My client is currently recruiting for a Revenue Controller to join the team on a fixed term contract basis.

Collaboration is key to our success and this role is no exception. You will be joining a friendly, dedicated team of professionals who work with colleagues across the firm to ensure effective management of our working capital. As the subject matter expert, you will provide advice and guidance to lawyers regarding revenue control. With the support of the wider finance team you will focus on improving cashflow and limiting exposure to bad debt.

Specific duties to include:

On a day to day basis you can expect your task list to be varied and interesting. As well as chasing outstanding debts by telephone, email and letter and maintaining the collections system you will also conduct monthly meetings with lawyers to discuss their debtor’s reports and assume responsibility for resolving any issues raised. Building relationships and maintaining a high level of customer service with both external clients and internal parties.

Skills and experience required:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive approach and a diplomatic and professional demeanour are essential post holder attributes. You will also be organised, flexible and able to manage a diverse workload whilst having the ability to use your own initiative.

Previous experience working as a Credit Controller is essential. An understanding of Revenue Control practices in a law firm is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

If your application is successful we will contact you to discuss the opportunity in more detail, within 72 hours of receiving your application.

Due to the overwhelming application response we receive through various sources should you not hear from us within one week then please assume your application has been unsuccessful.

Please be advised that if unsuccessful for this role we may keep your details in our hold file for 6 months, during which time you may be contacted for other suitable vacancies. If you do not want us to do this, please contact us.

In the meantime, we would like to thank you for your interest in Cavendish Maine.
