SEN Teaching Assistant
Reception SEN teaching assistant required for a Primary School in the Forest of Dean on a temporary contract

A good Primary school based in the Forest of Dean which is well recognised across the county with outstanding facilities. It is a small primary school with around 150 pupils. The Foundation stage and KS1 department are high achieving regularly surpassing initial expectations for children and work well together regularly sharing best practice for the Foundation Stage and KS1. The school have high expectations for pupils in both their work and behaviour which has been recognised by numerous inspections. The school encourage and reward good behaviour and provide a supportive environment for both teachers and pupils.
Your new role
You will be responsible for working 1:1 with a year 1 pupil with SEN within a class of 15 other students. You will be responsible for working 1:1 with the pupil ensuring that they have full access to all aspects of learning throughout the day. Previous experience of Reception would be beneficial however not crucial but experience in Foundation Stage and/or KS1 would be beneficial to supporting this role.
What you'll need to succeed
The school are looking for someone who has experience working 1:1 in an SEN setting and within a primary school setting would be beneficial however not essential. Been an outstanding practitioner with the ability to inspire, drive, and support children to achieving their goals. You must have 1:1 experience working within an SEN setting within the last 2 years. Previous experience working with EHCP's would be beneficial.
