Studio Administrator / Finance Administrator (Sage / Excel)

A finance-savvy Studio Administrator / Finance Administrator (Sage / Excel) is needed to join an International Centre of Excellence based in Hampton Court Palace! Expect to work within a buzzing arts studio supporting the Studio Manager and Part Time Project Manager.

For over 144 years this leading charity has boasted unrivalled expertise in the techniques of hand embroidery. With a wide variety of events, exhibitions, tours and courses they have taken this fascinating, traditional art and made it relevant to today. They now have a rare opening for a dynamic, customer-facing, Studio Administrator / Finance Administrator who has fantastic attention to detail to join their small and passionate team.

Working at the forefront of the studio the Studio Administrator will be primarily responsible for producing estimates, ensuring all hours on jobs are correctly attributed and all materials are ordered on time and charged to the right jobs. Whether you are producing monthly figures in excel, liaising with Stitchers, creating short news items about projects for the e-newsletter; uploading photographs; arranging collections, answering the phone, welcoming visitors, updating the website and social media channels, chasing payments, preparing estimates in Sage or meeting and greeting customers you will provide a vital role towards the smooth running of the Studio and the charity.

To qualify... You should be a highly organised and finance-savvy Studio Administrator, Project Coordinator, Finance Assistant, Office Administrator or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Strong Word, Excel and Sage skills;
  • Prior experience gained within an office environment;
  • Excellent customer facing skills;
  • First class communication and organisation skills;
  • Typing, literacy and numeracy skills;
  • A methodical approach;
  • High attention to detail (no typos!).
  • Negotiating skills along with exposure to digital content writing / marketing would be advantageous, as would an interest in sewing, textiles, needlework, embroidery etc.
