Like all progressive organisations we rely on the effective use of modern computer systems to deliver the services our customers expect of us.  We are now looking to recruit an ICT Analyst to ensure that we are getting the most from these systems.

You will be providing second line software support to our major corporate systems e.g. Geographic Information System (GIS), Document Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Lotus Notes amongst others.  You’ll have the aptitude to quickly understand these complex systems.

You will need background of technical support in an applications environment, together with a sound knowledge of Micro SQL Server database configuration and management.

You will also be required to have a strong programming background, as there will be the requirement to interface and enhance systems using a variety of technologies.

Because you’ll be working with system users of all levels and abilities, you’ll need to be tactful as well as articulate, resourceful and utterly determined.

If you are successful, please be advised that you will need to undergo a Pre-employment Vetting Procedure.

Please note that if you are employed by an Agency with Basildon Borough Council, you will need to complete the External Application Form (via the link which is available on the internal website).
