Quality Assurance Manager
Morgan Hunt are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager on behalf of our client, a well regarded Professional Regulator. The purpose of the role is to develop, manage and deliver the Corporate Quality Assurance work programme. This includes ensuring that all of the QA reviews projects within the programme are scoped properly in liaison with the relevant director. In addition, the postholder will ensure that the reviews are completed on time, thoroughly and in accordance with the agreed QA policy and deliver robust and well written reports and recommendations. Where necessary serious concerns will be escalated immediately. The postholder will also assist in developing action plans and delivering change to improve the quality of the organisation's work.
Role Responsibilities include;
*Assist the Assistant Director with the development of the Corporate Quality Assurance Strategy and Policy
*In consultation with the individual Directors and others develop an annual Quality Assurance programme of planned quality reviews with scope for ad-hoc requested reviews for agreement by the Directors Group
*Develop the QA review projects in liaison with the relevant director, including the scope; issues to be considered; methodology and timescales
*Manage the programme, including the planned and ad hoc quality reviews to ensure that all work is completed within deadline and to a high standard and in accordance with our QA policy and principles
*Manage and develop the QA compliance officers in their completion of individual quality reviews within the Quality Assurance programme. This includes reviewing their work to ensure that they have considered all relevant material properly and reviewing and editing draft reports
*Review quality of work completed by QA compliance officers together with draft report and proposed action plan and provide feedback and assistance for finalisation and issue of the report
*Represent the QA team on quality related issues and collaborate with different levels of staff to set quality compliance objectives, appropriate quality assurance frameworks and develop means to evidence and monitor compliance
*Champion change management practises to ensure that quality standards and quality improvements are integrated into directorate business improvement action plans
*Deliver training and provide advice to staff across the organisation to address issues identified from QA reviews
*Identify relevant quality assurance needs from the work completed and discussions with staff and assist in the delivery of training as required
*Manage the QA team, including line management of up to five officers and representing the team at Corporate Governance managers meetings.
*Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing quality assurance programmes within agreed timescales
*Experience of working with and building a rapport with staff at all levels up to senior level, including presentation of written reports.
*Strong project management skills and experience of managing key programme of work.
*Experience of delivering training
*Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
*Experience of managing a team of staff delivering a programme of planned and ad-hoc work
*Experience of working in a politically sensitive or regulatory environment
