The client
The Green Recruitment Company are currently working alongside a leading environmental consultancy who provide governance advice and other services to the environmental and utilities sectors
The role
Our client is currently looking for a motivated and driven individual to join their Environment Team to support the day to day governance aspects of our clients involvement in the Green Deal. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the environment sector and be responsible for supporting the Green Deal delivery team’s governance responsibilities. This high profile Government Initiative requires the ideal candidate to have an excellent attention to detail and an understanding of environmental policy.

Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the Governance Delivery Manager to develop/manage/review the GD governance documents and processes;
• Takes ownership of the day-to-day support of aspects of the GD governance including aspects of:
o The Green Deal Code of Practice;
o PAS 2030 and 2031
o GD Assessor Organisation Specifications;
• Analysing and authoring of Industry documents/papers/briefs to support GD delivery;
• Attending and presenting at industry meetings/conference/seminars, providing advice and thoughts on aspects impacting Green Deal delivery;
• Providing expert knowledge to tenders as required;
• Supporting the Green Deal delivery team with expertise and guidance as required;
• Developing relationships and networks with customers/clients/industry stakeholders;
• Actively developing relationships and networks with clients and industry stakeholders, ensuring excellent client and stakeholder relations are maintained;
• Liaising with a wide range of industry bodies and government departments to collate, distribute and update key information;
To be successful in the role the post-holder should be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
• Strong knowledge and experience of the Environment sector, in particular environmental policy
• Exceptional client and stakeholder management skills;
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to work to tight deadlines;
• Flexibility to react to changing demands;
• Ability to analyse Industry and operational aspects impacting the GD, including articulating suitable solutions (verbally and in writing) to technical and non-technical audiences;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent English grammar skills, both written and verbal;
• Experience of managing and motivating a team (preferable).
